Another fashion week has come and gone in New York, and as always, this week was full of some fine fashion, celebrities, and events – you know, all that glamor. From supermodel Gigi Hadid losing her shoe on the runway to Helmut Lang steering clear of Instagram models and instead taking to the streets, New York City was the place to be. And if you weren’t able to keep up with all the runways, or if you’d like to revisit them again, we’ve gathered, below, our favorite looks from this 2018 Spring showcase.
Anna Sui’s runway dazzled us, to make it simple, with their details especially. Models donned tear-like glitter around their eyes, paired with gorgeous patterns that gave us, overall, a bohemian, witchy feel.
Fenty x Puma
Complete with sugary pink mountains and biker-inspired gear, FentyxPuma’s show was definitely a highlight of this year’s NYFW. With Rihanna having just released her own beauty line, Fenty Beauty, the night before the show, this year’s Fenty collection was full of bright, dazzling colors and, of course, Rihanna herself, on—what else?—a motorcycle.
Helmut Lang was gorgeously gritty and kept, we think, the closest to the NYC spirit. It was deliciously punk rock, mixed with serious chic, an apt blend of spice with sweetness – and the result? One of our favorite shows of the year.
With the Times declaring that Marc Jacobs is, in fact, ‘still here,’ this season’s runway looks reminded us just why Marc Jacobs continues to be a celebrated brand name. Verging on the wonderfully weird, the Jacobs runway was full of indefinable shapes – with fanny-packs and suits, head wraps, and an Elvis look-a-like.
