Have we been living under a rock or has ombre gone out of style? Everywhere we look we see celebrities changing up their hair from sun-kissed to bold. Despite the fact that we spend 80% of the fall and winter with our hair safely tucked into a beanie, this is the perfect time for a hair color change, especially since most of us have been in the sun for the past 3 months and hair can look somewhat faded. We’ve got our list of the top 5 hair trends we’re seeing this season and they are surprisingly natural and even, dare we say, attainable with box dye.
We adore Zendaya and we also live for her spicy chocolate locks. The “cinnamon chocolate” hair trend is as close as we’ve seen to ombre for the fall. It is basically rich brown hair with slight copper tones woven throughout. If you’re someone with natural brown hair, it is relatively easy to get this look at home. If not, a simple color wash should do the trick.
Remember those sun-kissed locks you were loving during the summer? Well, in about 3 weeks they’re going to start growing out and you’ll be right on trend again. The look blends perfectly with a lot of the peach and rust tones we are seeing with fashion and looks edgy enough to pair well with dark colored clothes.
Okay, forget what we said about attainable with boxed dye. If you want this stellar look, you’re going to have to get it at a salon. Still, there’s something so ethereal and dangerously sexy about platinum blonde hair, recently seen on celebs such as Karlie Kloss and Zoe Kravitz. If you’re not willing to damage your hair quite that much, it might be fun to add in a couple platinum extensions.
Pastel pink, like platinum, is not the easiest color to get, but thanks to hair chalk it is great for temporary occasions. Here, Kyle rocks a subtle soft pink, making it much more wearable than richer tones. With pink, it is easy to go too orange, which can sometimes result in brassy looking hair. This look is for someone who loves bold, fun hair colors.

Jet black is one of those shades that requires commitment. Don’t do it all willy-nilly because the moment you want to change your hair, it will be too late. Even with the disclaimer, jet black hair looks stunning on so many skin tones and hair types. It instantly adds a dose of vixen to your overall aesthetic (and it is probably our favorite hair color of all time).
